Trey & Jake holding newtI was turning my compost pile with a pitch fork when I nearly stabbed a newt. I caught it for the boys & they spent the rest of the day playing with it. I was so afraid that it would bite me. I have heard some types are poisonous. But the boys didn't care.

Your boys sure love creatures! I wouldn't know a newt if I saw one.
...maybe it's a salamander. I don't really know!
