I love my brother

I found the boys like this today and it made me smile. They truly love each other as only brothers can.

Bruces Visit

The boys were BEYOND excited when their cousins came for a visit on their way to Montana for a track meet. Too bad we don't have a single decent picture of the cousins. The kids all camped out in the RV (Thanks Chad & Tiff for that highlight!) We had a lot of fun hanging out.

Summer Fort

The little boys have been spending all of their extra time at their fort. They absolutely love it. I'm happy that they have it. I remember many days as a kid spent playing in our own forts. It's nostalgic for me.

We did have one moment of brevity when Lander found a bug on him. He started in with a screaming, jumping, arm flailing sort of dance that catapulted the little bug off of him. After scouring the dark wood floor in the living room, we discovered that Lander had just experienced his first tick. Now the boys load up with bug spray every time they leave the house and are experts tick checkers.

Girls Night Out

We planned a girls night out during Heather's visit that included sushi at Da Pineapple Grill and a movie then a spur of the moment decision for mini golf and laser tag too. Good times!

Heather & Travis Visit

Heather and Travis came to visit so that she could run the 10k in the Teton Dam Marathon. Lander was ecstatic to have his "little buddy" aka Travis here to visit.

Travis loved her medal. He calls it the Piston Cup. Can you tell that he is in love with Cars?
Lander was so excited to be at the race. He has asked that we run the 5k together next year.

Lander saw this dog at the race. He fell in love with it because it reminds him of "Frenchie", the dog on Nintendogs+cats, his favorite game.
Lander helping Travis. You can't see it in the picture, but Travis has a thigh-length cast on his other leg from a little trampoline incident. Now Travis is banned from all trampolines.
On the last night of the trip, the girls went out for a girls night out. Josh had Lander put Travis to bed. Lander read to him until he (apparently I should say "they") fell asleep. When we got home close to midnight, we found the boys asleep in the bed, sharing a pillow. I love this picture.

Two Thumbs UP

Jake made his first dinner of chicken and rice. It earned a definite TWO THUMBS UP!
Good job, buddy!

The Mighty Hunter Jr.

Disclaimer:
I can't believe that I'm posting this, but I have a young man who is very proud of his accomplishment.

Jake went "hunting" this weekend with Josh and shot a ground
squirrel that was digging up the yard. He posthumously named it Reggie.
