a little daddy-son time

Twas a night in November, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

Oh, who am I kidding?

But it was really quiet, and being the ever-suspicious mother, I went to investigate. This is what I found:

Christmas Decorations

Lander decided to decorate the buffet for Christmas. This is what he came up with. All on his own. Can I repeat that?

swingsets and flying

Jake and Sam came up with the age-old game of jumping aka flying from swings. Notice the greenish colored grass and the short sleeves? This is November, folks. In Driggs. Better enjoy it while it lasts.

No children were harmed during this filming....yet...

The kids found this "pet" while playing outside.

I told them to keep it quiet, because Grams would have a fit if she knew that they were playing with it, and they did. Unfortunately, the mouse appeared to be poisoned, so it's life was short, albeit loved.

Eric & Beth come to visit

Eric and Beth brought the cousins to visit. It was a lot of fun. We decided to do a little shooting.

And we took the "younger kids" (basically everyone but the too-grown-up-to-go-to-the-park Jake) to the nature park to feed the ducks and geese. Which was still a ton of fun despite the fabulous mud bog/bird poop/stagnant water smell.

And of course we did a bit of shopping and had a date night. Good times!
