We decided to do something different this for Christmas--cut down our own tree. Here we are, looking for the "perfect" tree on Packsaddle Loop, just a few minutes drive from Gram's house. It turned out to be a lot harder than we expected.

i havent had a real tree in years! I miss it! I remember cutting down our tree when we were younger...great memories
Oh the good ol' days!! They don't have tree lots in my home county... so that's the only way we could get a tree for Christmas... we'd go get a $5.00 permit from the Forest Service and cut down three trees (Grandma always needed two and then we'd get ourselves one).... definitely an all day project but so worth it!!! :) Do you think you'll do it again next year?
