Alcatraz

We decided to tour Alcatraz Island, just off shore of San Francisco. It was once home to military forts, and is home of "The Rock", the infamous, but now abandoned prison where people such as Al Capone spent time.

First we had to wait, and wait, and wait for our ferry. People watching, bird watching, electronics, arm wrestling, napping, and even a bit of fighting may have happened at this table.
Yay! Finally on the ferry! (Lander, Jake, Josh)

Jake was fascinated by the stories told at Alacatraz.

The view of the Golden Gate Bridge from Alacatraz was beautiful. And look! No fog!
