work trip to Chicago

Dixie was able to attend a nursing conference in Chicago and in her off hours, she was able to play and spend time with Grandma Nala, Grandpa Farnsworth and Alan and Heather's family. Here are some highlights:

They had some some really cool stuff! The German U-505 submarine was the favorite! Well, that, and the giant human-sized hamster wheel. And the astronaut exhibit. And the....I think you get the point.

 Perusing literature for the boys was uplifting

And the local art was equally edifying/horrifying/not that great, but the food was always good.

Note to self: 

Picasso was a freak. Georgia O'Keefe was only cool because she painted scenes in New Mexico. American Gothic rocks as well as the ancient Roman exhibits and Asian exhibits. I need a circa 1025 German Bible. Despite what others say, raw oysters are really good. And surprisingly, the 17th century Dutch art was nostalgic!
