Lander's car was really fast last year, and he didn't like how this year's Pine Wood Derby car looked, so he asked if he could just race his old car. That probably wasn't such a bad idea!
One of Lander's friends reminded me of a promise that we had made to him last year. We had promised him that if he won first place we would buy him a "real" trophy. Lander was serious about winning. He wanted that trophy!
